When your Chromcraft and Douglas chairs don't function properly it can be really upsetting. There are many things that can break or go wrong with a swivel tilt caster chair because there are so many components. A caster can break and when that happens you can't use your chair which is frustrating. The weld can break on the swivel tilt mechanism, which is attached to the bottom of the seat and connects the chair bucket to the post of the base. If this happens your chair will become wobbly and unstable. Replacement parts for these types of dinette chairs are hard to find but not impossible. The great thing is once you've found the part you need you don't have to go out and buy a new dinette set. This will save you a lot of money. We carry replacement casters in many different popular colors. The almond color caster is Chromcraft's most popular wheel color. The other available caster colors we carry are black, brown and white. We also offer Chromcraft and Douglas replacement swivel tilt mechanisms. They come in different sizes so make sure you measure the bolt pattern of the mechanism under your seat. We also carry plastic inserts in three different sizes. The plastic insert is located in the post of the chair base and connects to the metal rod of the swivel tilt mechanism. If the plastic insert breaks your chair will not work like it should and you should replace it.
